Instagram has released a new feature that will show you a list of the Stories that have mentioned your account within the past 24 hours. You’ll find this aggregated list at the top of the Activity tab. If you follow the account that tagged you, the Story can automatically be added to your ‘About You’ story reel, giving you UGC (user-generated content) quicker and easier than ever before.
- Setting age limit: Now you can set age limits for your Instagram account too, allowing you to filter a certain age group of people who can view your posts. This is called ‘age-gating’ and it can be useful for brands trying to reasonably restrict access to their channels. You can set a minimum age limit for your account and either set up a global minimum age, or opt for country-specific minimum ages.
- Flexible profile formatting for business page: Earlier, Instagram profiles had a set look. With the latest update feature, brands can choose to hide both the business category or contact information from their profile. But hiding these informations will make it tough for your customers to reach out to you. It’s best to hide contact information if you’d rather customers reach out through your site or direct message instead.
- New inbox organization: This latest Instagram update allows you to segregate your inbox into two different tabs- Primary and General. You can swipe on a message to sort them accordingly, moving them from one to another. Messages appearing in the ‘Primary’ category can be seen first and notifications for messages that appear in the Primary tab are automatically enabled, letting you know whenever you get a response. The ‘General’ category will have messages which don’t require an immediate response.
